Admitting that a restart might be a viable solution is basically an admission of failure. I completely understand disliking it. I still hate turning things off and on again to "fix" problems, even though in the Cloud and Container-heavy DevOps world, that is not only the go-to solution for all problems, but is also something that usually happens automatically.
