At my old job, one of my coworkers played a prank on our team lead (TL) when he left his computer unlocked. He made an alias so that every time TL tried to open vim, it had something like a one in ten chance to open nano instead. Coworker then sat back to watch the fireworks. TL didn't say anything about it for weeks. Coworker thought he messed something up. Until he was around TL's desk debugging or something. TL tries to edit a document. Curses a bit under his breath. Immediately exits back to the command line and reopens vim. Apparently he just decided to treat it as a weird thing his computer did and rolled with it.
